BIOGRAPHY
Melissa is a Sports and Event Photographer whose photos have been published in The New York Times as well as lifestyle magazines including National Geographic Traveller, Suitcase, How To Spend It Italy, Boat International and most recently Porsche Club Life.
In 2019 she became the owner and sole content producer of Cresta Run Photos. In this role she has documented the competitive racing and glamorous social events of the exclusive Saint Moritz Tobogganing Club (SMTC), a private members club in Switzerland devoted to the practice and pursuit of high speed winter sports.
Her work at the SMTC has captured the sporting achievements of not only celebrities and royalty but also Olympic athletes and members of the British Army, Navy and Air force. Her enthusiasm and skill for sports photography stems from her own background as an equestrian sportswoman who has competed internationally up to European Championship level.
Having graduated in 2015 with a 1:1 BA degree in Photography from the University of the Creative Arts, Melissa’s images are influenced by an educational grounding in Fine Art photography and a strong sense of blending composition, timing and lighting in order to portray visually striking moments in a diverse range of environments.
Melissa’s photography displays a discrete and observational style, capturing the subtle interplay between people and their surroundings that are often easily missed.
